Dubai to host the International Arab BoxingChampionship (April 2025)

The Dubai Sports Council announced the organization of the International Arab Boxing Championship, which will be held on April 30, 2025, at the CocaCola Arena, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council, with the participation of elite boxers from 14 countries from different continents of the world.

This came during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council, during which Ali Omar, Director of the Sports Events Department, Hadi Al Sudairi, President of the International Arab Boxing
Federation, and Hussein Hamou, Director of Middle East, the organizer of the event, spoke during the press conference held at the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council.

Ali Omar said: “We are pleased to cooperate with the International ArabBoxing Federation in organizing this event, as the Dubai Sports Council seeks to strengthen the partnership between the private and public sectors from various local and international institutions and federations, and we are pleased to announce this tournament, which will be hosted by Dubai for the first time, and the Dubai Sports Council is keen to organize and host many diverse international championships in various sports and seek what is new in each sport, as the Council organizes more than 450 various sports events throughout the year, and we are sure that we will be on a date with an exceptional tournament that supports environment and sustainability and will witness record numbers.

 

Hadi Al Sudairi said: “I thank the Dubai Sports Council for the continued support of the International Arab Boxing Federation, as well as the organizing company Miss Middle East and sponsor NB North, the tournament program includes 16 fights between men and women, led by world boxing champions Dejani Fionnet, Matthew Dallman, Harris Pepper, Nikola Todorovic and other boxers from 14 countries from different continents of the world, namely: France, Brazil, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia, Armenia, Tunisia, Germany, Belarus, Norway, Algeria, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain. The boxers will compete in 8 different weights for men and women, with men competing in 60, 66, 72, 76, 82 and 85 kilograms, while women will compete in 60 and 63 kilograms.

Hussain Hamou said: “I thank the Dubai Sports Council for the support and hosting the press conference, we seek to organize a distinguished event worthy of Dubai’s status and will be organized annually, and will support sustainable energy, out of our social responsibility and commitment to environmental protection and within the framework of the government’s directives to support sustainability, and this event will be the largest of its kind.”
